Out and Equal Workplace Advocates

Out and Equal Workplace Advocates seek to end employment discrimination for LGBTQ+ employees  through education and empowerment.

National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce

The NGLCC is a business advocate and direct link between LGBTQ+ business owners, corporations, and government. The NGLCC is committed to forming a broad-based coalition of LGBTQowned and LGBTQ+-friendly businesses, professionals, and major corporations.  The NGLCC seeks to promote financial opportunities, economic growth, continued innovation, and equality for its members.

Out for Work provides resources for career development that pertain specifically to LGBTQ+ students, including conferences.

Out for Undergraduate Business Conference

This annual conference helps LGBTQ+ undergraduate students learn how other “out” professionals have navigated the same issues. Panelists share insider knowledge about coming out in different professional organizations in different professional, as well as strategies they have used to investigate companies’ LGBTQ+ policies. Scholarships are available.

Out for Work Career Center Certification Program

The Out for Work certification program is designed to assess and evaluate the quality, quantity, and availability of LGBTQ-specific resources and support available to students at academic career centers. Out for Work helps provide tools, resources, and training materials to career centers to improve the quality of services offered to LGBT students.

An organization for teachers and educators that strives to ensure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association

An organization of journalists, online media professionals, and students that works from within the journalism industry to foster fair and accurate coverage of LGBTQ+ issues. The NLGJA opposes workplace bias against all minorities and provides professional development for its members and has valuable information regarding workplace campaigns.

Golden Gate Business Association

An association that connects the San Francisco LGBTQ+ community through business, educating leaders through business skills development, increasing visibility, and advocating to create positive change socially, economically and politically.
